Spiral galaxy NGC3338 belongs to the Leo II group located about 70 MLY from Earth, it is very nice spiral with well defined arms, but only seldom photographed.
I also marked here two bright quasars just to the right of the galaxy, with redshifts z=1.76 (the lower one) and 1.09, i.e. the light travel time was 9.98 and 8.165 Gyr.

After ten years, there is (finally) a new version of the photo here, after another almost three hours of exposure (L-only) and some post-processing. It’s significantly better than the first version; I really like it now, even the simple composition.
